Nesting: Swaddle blanket

A while back a friend of mine asked me to make a swaddle blanket for a baby shower gift.  I had never seen one like this before but I (the worst swaddler ever!) was intrigued!  Here’s the original…  http://prudentbaby.com/2010/05/baby-kid/new-improved-diy-swaddle-blanket-2/

I made some changes to it just out of necessity and working through the thought process of what would work best for us, but I am very thankful to Pretty Prudent!

I cut my flannel down.

Cut it down again into my triangle like needed.

Here’s where I started to make my change.  I am the worst with bias tape and tight corners so I angled the back/tie pieces more.

Sew the two back/tie pieces right-side together.

Bias tape sewing much easier!

Here it is complete 🙂

Once you’ve put the bias tape (2 packs are definitely necessary!) fold your main piece in half and pin the center the back/tie center 3 1/2″ below the top.  Opened it up and and I did a cute decorative stitch down it.

Final product!

Very happy with the results!!

Thank you again Pretty Prudent!
