First 5KSeptember 19th marks a very special day for me. It is my runiversary. The day that I decided to stop telling myself that I would never be a runner.

002As children, we grow up learning and believing there are simply things that we can and cannot do. If we say something enough, we start to believe it. I've always said that I wasn't an athlete. Never athletic. I'd never be able to do something that took stamina, endurance and strength.

IMG_63899/19/12 is the day I broke the rules that I set in place for myself. The day I said no more. The day I believed what I told my children applied to me can do anything you want to. You just have to try.

December - Jingle Bell 5K
April - Diva Half Marathon
May - Run for Warriors 10K
June - Blueberry Festival 5K
July - Sand-Sational 8K
August - Honoring the fallen Sgt Pyeatt 5K20130713-122921.jpg

Now that our new addition has made her debut, I am about to head back to the pavement.  The place I have found a piece of me that I never believed could exist.

IMG_8351There's no stopping me.

I'm out to get it all.

And best of all...

I finally believe I can.
