Fit Foodie: A little DIY, little adventure & new goodies!

20131020-102401.jpgIt’s been slow for cooking lately.  We are still working on our freezer meals, BUT that didn’t stop me from a couple good ones!  Well those and a quick craft!  Here’s our new dry erase menu that I did using How Does She?’s tutorial.  The hubby is happy about it too.  He can see what is going to be for dinner every morning before leaving now.  And I’m happy it allowed for our ever changing recipes/nightly menus.  Honestly, I don’t think we’ve duplicated more than a handful of recipes up to this point!  It’s just too fun finding and trying something new!


This was an exciting meal for me!  First, I got to use my new mini loaf pan for the Skinnytaste’s Petite Turkey Meatloaves.  Second, I tested out my new food processor to make the Food Network’s Parsnip Puree.  Finally, I had never cooked using parsnip or acorn squash!!!  I love trying out new recipes but even more so when it’s new ingredients!  What better way to test out the acorn squash than with a Cinnamon Spice & Everything Nice’s Parmesan Roasted Squash?


I was a little spoiled this week.  This is also a new pan…BUT it’s a donut pan!!!!  Finally, we could try out Blue Eyed Baker’s Petite Pumpkin Spice Donuts.
