I’ve been putting off running. It has always been something that I need to push myself to start but love doing it once I’m out there. Well I finally did it. I started again. It was only one mile but I ran. What got me out there? My good friend, Emily, was running the MCM. Something I wish I could’ve done with her but the timing of Hannah threw the monkey wrench in that. Well after texting her all throughout the mileage…I got a text “2 miles left!!!”. I decided that even though I’m not “with” her I can run with her. I blew the dust off the treadmill and did it.
Ran a mile…a 15 minute mile but a mile no less! My friend who got me out of the house a year ago to start my journey was running 26.2…the least I could do is stop procrastinating! And I’d say this is pretty darn good after taking off 12 weeks!!!

Total pregnancy gain: 21.7 lbs Progress
Total postpartum loss: 18.6 lbs
- 5 weeks postpartum and pretty much back in action!!!
- Registered for the Hampstead Turkey Trot 8K!
- Stroller Warrior’s “I ran to Afghanistan” campaign…I’m at 179.98/250 miles. I need 35 miles for November and December to make this still happen!!!
