Be-You-tifully Fit: 4 Years in Stroller Warriors

10/19/2012...  I didn't think I was a runner.  I was just a girl who dreamed of being one.  Honestly,  I was scared to join.  Terrified even.  Here were a big group of women who have been there &  done that and then there was me...  I was a girl that barely ran the 1 mile required in gym class.  I was the girl who tried running up and down my street as a high schooler but never made it passed a couple houses.  The girl who lost a bunch of weight by walking and the elliptical machine for 10 minutes maximum.  A girl trying to make a difference in her life by becoming more active for the first time ever with a double stroller and the horrifying health assessment of 48.6% body fat,  Hashimoto's disease and on the verge of diabetes.

Now I sit here 4 years later.  I am surrounded by some of the most caring,  inspiring, loving, fun, comical, empathic and all around wonderful women I have ever known.  Some of these women have run with me through countless miles and tons of races.  We've cheered for each other.  We've cried for each other.  We've shared moments that most people will never have the chance to say they have.  I walked into this looking with admiration at these runners from afar.  Now I look out and see faces that I would trust with my children's lives.
