My husband and I wince when the few long pay periods come along. Currently, we are on a 19 day one and it is rough in the menu plan department. We could have done a little less on the last pay’s groceries but we changed our budgeting plan to calculate the days in the pay period vs a flat budget amount. Then we had those larger ticket grocery items run out too so this week took a hit anyway. One step at a time…just one step at a time. For now, we are going to eat through the cabinets and wing the rest of this pay period. Thankfully we have some great and cheaper recipes we can use to help bridge the gap!
We used the crockpot refried beans as our filler for these and they came out amazing! My kids are not corn tortilla eaters either so I was very surprised!!!
4-INGREDIENT FLOURLESS BANANA-NUT PANCAKES
We are going to do a retake on these. I am not sure what may have happened but mine just did not turn out the way they are in the picture. Stay tuned for take 2.
Chicken and Gnocchi Soup
This was my long awaited start to our soups that we’ve been dying to have again!
SLOW COOKER TURKEY BREAST WITH GRAVY
We make this one with turkey breast chops and it comes out amazing. The hubby and I actually used them this week as our meal prep’s protein!
