MCM Training Week 4

I was an avid movie watcher when I was younger. I loved a little bit of everything but most of all I loved the movies that these quotes would come from that attached to your soul. As I battle the feelings of it all, I am reminded of this one from the movie Shall We Dance?.

We need a witness to our lives. There's a billion people on the planet... I mean, what does any one life really mean? But in a marriage, you're promising to care about everything. The good things, the bad things, the terrible things, the mundane things... all of it, all of the time, every day. You're saying 'Your life will not go unnoticed because I will notice it. Your life will not go un-witnessed because I will be your witness'.

We have an amazing treat with the transient military life...we have an enormous amount of people that bear witness to our lives. If even only for a minute, they are there seeing you and all you do. They are taking your brief moment there with them and making it a beautiful season of life.

I just finished an amazing waypoint in the book Directed by Brenda Pace, "when you consider that what we do is closely associated with our assessment of who we are, you can understand how a military spouse can experience bouts of depression based on the repetitive cycle of reestablishing identity". But think about how many people have the opportunity to know you. To see who you are and then who you become... How many people are their for a moment but change you for a lifetime?

I am grateful for those people and eager for the ones to come!

Happy running!
