Plans & Plates: It’s Christmas time! (Week 48)

A tradition in our house is Christmas arrives after the turkey feast is done! I may not always be happy about it BUT it's the compromise between my husband and me.  This year it was delayed a little further because we are near family!!!  We enjoyed dinner, relaxing and Black Friday shopping while the kids got to make gingerbread houses with their grandparents.  It was different from what we are used to.  That's for sure.  But honestly, this was so much better.

The hubby and I finished ALL of our Christmas shopping!  Yes, ALL OF IT!!!  If you remember my gift post on the Attitude of Gratitude, that was what we decided to do again.  It takes the pressure off of this season to be truthful.  You only have to find that one thing that they want and, generally speaking, the rest is sort of easy.

Quick refresh...

Four kids with four gifts each.  Done!

Two pet gifts.  Done!

Five Teacher gifts.  Done!

And ready for this...under budget still!  We set the limit at $400.00 for the kids this year and we are sitting around $352 spent!!!!

And that, my friends, is a beautiful feeling!  Now, it is time to enjoy the reason for the season.  Worry free of all of it!  As for the yummies this week.  We are handling the mountain of leftover ham in our fridge LOL!
